Sometimes with cats
I am slow sometimes. Life has been busy sometimes. Either way, I’ve been working on Gardiner’s Egyptian Grammar for about a year and I’m only on Lesson Six.
I will also blame my cats. They’re needy and require ALL the attention.
Here’s Marvin and Isobel:

Recently, I started a new job- the kind where I get an hour for lunch.
I decided part of that lunch hour, I’ll use for learnin’. Specifically, doing the exercises.
And I’m getting them done.
In the breakroom- it’s the kind of job with a Break Room!- or at McDonald’s, I sit, and I manage to get a sentence done. It’s slow but it’s progress.
As a thing, I like to look at syllabi on-line; pick a topic and see what the course is like.
Like HIEROGLYPHIC EGYPTIAN I, at Rutgers. It looks cool, but it moves way too fast for me-
Wow. Then I looked at page two of the syllabus. THEY DO ALL 33 LESSONS IN 17 WEEKS
Holy Thoth. I wasn’t that studious when I was a college student.
